The art works in this gallery would eventually lead me to the Ancestor series. I wanted to use simple photocopies or printer printouts and crayons and see what I could create. It brought me back to being a child, of cutting and pasting and putting things together that wouldn't normally fit. After the Guardian Series, which was about connecting to someone else, I wanted to go inside the human form, both literally and figuratively. It led me to a spiritual place that opened my heart.
